Our tennis club is proud to play an active role in developing junior talent through dedicated participation in the local association comp. We see this as an essential platform for our young players to gain valuable match experience, test their skills against peers from neighboring clubs, and grow both as athletes and individuals. By competing regularly in the local competition, our juniors learn the importance of teamwork, fair play, and persistence—qualities that serve them well both on the court and in everyday life.

To support our players, we also provide structured training programs and squad sessions that focus on both individual improvement and team dynamics. Our coaching staff works closely with each junior to develop match tactics, build confidence under pressure, and foster a love for competitive tennis. We also place a strong emphasis on community spirit—encouraging our juniors to represent the club with pride, connect with fellow players, and become part of a positive tennis culture. Our commitment to the local association comp reflects our belief in growing the game from the grassroots, building a solid foundation for lifelong involvement in tennis.

We offer competitive teams for kids who may be interested in playing on Saturdays and Sundays for Wentworth Tennis from our home at Trumper Park Tennis Centre. We enter teams in the Eastern Suburbs Tennis Association Saturday and Sunday junior competition. Home and away matches over 8 weeks will be played plus finals. There are 4 comps per year running on each school term. At present, we have over 20 teams to play against other tennis clubs in the local area in differing grades starting with green ball and then yellow ball(all grades are UTR events). Each week 2 players will be required to play 1 singles set each and 2 doubles sets over 2 hours or 2.5 hours in div 1. The time slots are;

1pm-3pm Saturday Green ball B div 6

3pm-5pm Saturday Green ball A div 5

Sundays

12pm-2pm Sunday Yellow ball div 4

2pm-4pm Sunday Yellow ball div 3

2pm-4pm Sunday Yellow ball div 2

4pm-630pm Sunday Yellow ball div 1

We are excited to present teams to the local community as we progress kids to competitive play. From there we hope to develop their match play to take into open age competition teams.  We have many high standard players playing at Trumper Park on a weekly basis and are keen to find more like-minded individuals that will be interested and field as many teams as possible.
