Squad Training for Juniors
At Wentworth Tennis, we’re excited to introduce a specialised squad program designed specifically for players involved in competitive tennis teams. Recognising the need for targeted training at this level, we’ve created a program that not only sharpens technical skills but also builds confidence, motivation, and match readiness. These high-performance sessions run for two hours and are led by our expert coaches Kingston Day and Santiago Prieto, both of whom bring a wealth of experience and energy to the court. With a maximum of six players per squad, each participant benefits from a personalised coaching experience within a dynamic team environment.
The program focuses on key elements critical to competitive success, including detailed stroke analysis, refined footwork and movement patterns, and the development of point structure and tactical awareness. Advanced coaching drills are specifically designed to encourage on-court interaction, simulating real match scenarios and helping players make quick, smart decisions under pressure. These methods reflect the latest in elite training techniques, ensuring each player is continually challenged and supported as they grow.
A core component of the program is one hour of structured matchplay each week, giving players the opportunity to apply what they've learned in a competitive setting. This not only reinforces tactical concepts but also helps develop mental toughness and game-time decision making. Due to the personalised nature of these sessions and our commitment to maintaining a high standard of coaching, places are strictly limited.
